Roads and Dust

Does anyone know when the dust will settle?

I am afraid I must start the posting with such a dull topic, but I figured I would get the ball rolling, so to speak. Please feel free to reply in Swedish, I just don't dare butcher the lovely language myself.

We have all seen the road torn up to lay the lovely yellow brick road (feels a bit Wizard of Oz to me, but I am American after all). I am personally very happy to see this finally happening. But as Kia pointed out, we should celebrate if it is completed before summer. My goodness, what about roller blading, scootering and not to mention the construction trucks that fly by at a highway pace on our, excuse me, pedestrian zone street?

In an effort towards beautification (and slowing the pace of our mini-highway) without total disruption, I have a suggestion. Terrace tables were nice last year, but staring at the mud might get tiresome. So, how about sculptures. You know those nice coloured cows that have traveled the world? How about some people and trees? Just an idea and I would be happy to explore it some more. Perhaps it is just a crazy idea. But I figured I would put it out there. They would need to be weather resistant and, of course, movable for when they begin working on a particular section. But I think worth discussion nonetheless.
